The 1st floor at the 1860s Waterfall Retreat has amazing backyard views of the waterfall and convenient location to all of Lancaster: Sight&Sound, Lancaster Central Market, Dutch Wonderland, Spooky Nook Sports, Strasburg Railroad, Lititz & more. The backyard & your private walking bridge to the park allows you to hike, fish, walk the dog, canoe/kayak the creek, play horseshoes, croquet, etc. When night starts to fall, gather by the fire pit or wood stove!

  • Check-in begins at 4pm. Check-out by 11am. Please make any early check-in or late check-out requests prior to your stay to ensure our cleaning team can accommodate your request.

  • 1860s House: there is room for 4 SUV-sized cars

    99 House: there is room for 3 SUV-sized cars

    * Extra Large Vehicles (longer than 22’ or traveling with a trailer) require prior planning with our neighbors that have room

  • We utilize lockboxes for you to access the keys to our home. We provide the code for access the morning of your stay. This allows for flexible check-in and check-out.

  • 1860s Home: Dogs are currently the only pet we allow with prior messaging that ensures that the dog(s) are up to date on flea and tick preventative along with necessary shots to keep them safe from the nature where we live and to keep our home dog-friendly. We are unable to host cats due to our own severe allergies.

    99 House: No pets

  • 1860s House: There are 2 separate units. If you are renting only the 1st or 2nd floor, the outside areas will be shared as well as the common entryway on the side porch.

    99 House: You have the entire home and yard to yourself.

  • There are some exterior security cameras at each home. The basements are also monitored.

  • Yes!

  • Coffee Maker (Keurig and Drip Coffee), Microwave, Oven & Stovetop, Dishwasher, Basic pots, pans, utensils for eating and serving, basic spices, condiments, and most everything you need for cooking a meal. Message us if you have specific requests.

  • Guests are allowed with prior written permission. Our homes are old and require gentle treatment by all, so we ask that you keep that in mind when planning something at our home.

  • Our calendar is kept up to date on Airbnb, and we highly recommend accessing that listings calendar prior to sending us a message to book directly.

  • We try to be as flexible as possible. We are bound by a cancellation policy provided on the external booking sites such as Airbnb and VRBO. For booking directly with us, we try to be as flexible as possible, as we understand that stuff happens. Anything greater than 14 days before check-in is fully refundable; under 14 days is not refundable unless we are able to receive a booking of equal or greater value to replace your booking.

  • • NO smoking on either property

    • NO parties or large gatherings without prior written approval

    • If your children or adults traveling with you that act like children cannot and will not respect the word, NO, please do not bring them. This is not fair to you to have to be responsible for said humans

    Better than pics, cozy and welcoming! Dog loved the yard and access to park and trail. So close to Sight and Sound Theater and other attractions. We will definitely be back!

    This is a beautiful, rustic place. It has a great history and story to tell. It feels like you’re removed from Lancaster, but actually are minutes from anything you’d need. I used the kitchen quite a bit and found it very workable. The porch is fantastic - spacious and peaceful. Suzi was responsive and gracious. Dogs are welcome and it is a lovely atmosphere for them as well. Having the convenience of 15 minutes from F&M, but with the ambiance of a farmhouse was a delight!

    The house was comfortable and well appointed. The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful. Sitting on the porch every night listening to the waterfalls was one of the highlights of the trip. The house was also so dog friendly and it made it easy for the whole family!

    We had a wonderful stay, even two cardinals the morning we left. The fire pit and waterfall in the back yard are a total plus! Great kitchen and so much space at our disposal. Gracious and responsive host. Thank you SO much!
